Small changes in diet over time can lead to significant positive outcomes. The app covers a wide range of nutritional concerns, including sodium, sugar, trans fat, and caffeine content in foods. It also addresses other important factors like different types of vitamins, fats, and carbs. Users can access information on natural and added sugars, as well as calorie details.

Device Info: The app is optimized for landscape mode on iPhones and works well in both portrait and landscape modes on tablets. Landscape views are particularly ideal for newer, larger iPhones. A dark/light mode theme switch is now available, and the app is also compatible with MACs.

To navigate the app, users should start by selecting a Food Group (FG) using the FG button and then choose a profile if desired. The app initially displays basic nutrient information for a 100g portion size, allowing comparisons between foods. Users can then access up to 7 additional profiles for detailed information on household measures, carbs, fats, and Vitamin D content.

Sorting options enable users to compare high and low values by tapping on the nutrient headings. While the 100g displays facilitate food comparisons, it's important to note that these values may not always align with everyday usage quantities. The "HouseHold Measures" profiles provide a more realistic representation of actual nutrient consumption.

Users can filter and search for foods within a specific food group, with the selected filters persisting across groups and profiles. This feature offers insights into various nutritional aspects of foods such as fat content, starch levels, and protein amounts. By exploring food characteristics like cooked vs. raw or salted vs. unsalted, users can gain valuable knowledge about different food items.

Data Source: The app utilizes the latest USDA data from the Standard Reference Legacy Database as of April 2018, encompassing over 7,000 food items. All data is stored within the app itself, eliminating the need for constant internet connectivity. A degreed accountant has verified the accuracy of the data.
